My Chaotic Friendliness inspired the excellent puzzle by Nordy: Questionable Friends. My original goal with my first puzzle is what I've done here with X clues. They inspired me to revisit the idea. Thanks Nordy!
Chaos construction: place one of each digit 1-6 in every row, column, and region, but the regions must be determined by the solver. That is, divide the grid into 6 orthogonally connected groups of 6 cells.
Friendly region sums: if a cell contains its row or column number then it is friendly. Clues outside the grid give the sum of the cells up to and including the first friendly cell from the clue's direction. All cells included in the sum are in the same region and the cell after the friendly cell is in a different region. X must be deduced and is the same for each clue.

Fun, thanks. One of those puzzles which seemed impossible at first glance.

Bit tricky, with CC not one of my strong suits. Struggled a little in the second half.
It DID feel like a good intro puzzle for the rule set. Quite enjoyable.

I’m 2/2 on this ruleset and, although some chaos constructions elude me, this is QACCS (I’m gonna coin that acronym), and extremely fun. Thank you!!!!

Absolutely loved this version with X clues! To me this is the perfect “gateway puzzle” to chaos construction—it teaches you all of the core lessons in a fun and approachable way, yet is still full of aha moments. Love this ruleset and hope that another puzzle with it pops up in the future!
