Chaotic Friendliness (Chaos Construction, 6x6)

(Quite approachable) Chaos Construction: place one of each digit 1-6 in every row, column, and region, but the regions must be determined by the solver. That is, divide the grid into 6 orthogonally connected groups of 6 cells.
Friendly cells: if a cell contains its row or column number then it is friendly. Clues outside the grid give the sum of the cells up to and including the first friendly cell from the clue's direction. All cells included in the sum are in the same region and the cell after the friendly cell is in a different region.

I'm working on a slightly more difficult 6x6 that is similar to this but uses modified 159 rules and I think is more fun and interesting. I am trying to build a 9x9 with this ruleset but haven't come up with a solve path I'm happy with quite yet. Hopefully!
