Blooming Potato
(Published on 22. June 2022, 02:38 by aRTy)
My debut puzzle.
Inspired by binge-watching CTC after discovering the channel a few weeks ago, and being amazed by the variant rules and the "theorems" the community came up with.
Rules:
* Normal Sudoku rules apply.
* Anti-King (Anti-Diagonal): Cells separated by a king's move (in chess) cannot contain the same digit.
* German Whispers: Neighbouring digits on a green line must have a difference of at least 5.
* Killer Cages: In cages, digits must sum to the small clue in the top left corner of the cage.
* Kropki / White Dot Difference: Cells separated by a white dot have exactly the noted difference (here always exactly 2).
* X: Cells separated by an X must contain digits summing to 10.
(Not all possible dots/Xs are given.)

I found this puzzle quite challenging, but the logic was very rewarding. Even if I did end up backing into it and figuring out the rationale later sometimes :D

Reworded rules to emphasise the 2-difference Kropki dots. The notation seems to be the standard, but since the prevalent use is with no explicit digit given (signifying a 1-difference), it should be as clear as possible.

Really enjoyed this one. Thanks! Initially didn't realize that the 2-dots were exactly 2 in difference.
