Region Sum lines. Digits along each blue line must have an equal sum of N within each box that line passes through.
Projected Sum rules. Some clues outside the grid indicate the total sum of all the digits across all lines in their respective row or column.
X-Sum rules. Some clues outside the grid indicate the sum of the first X digits in their respective row or column, where X is the first cell adjacent to the clue.
Clues outside the grid may be either Projected Sum or X-Sum, to be determined by the solver. If there are two clues on opposite sides of the same column or row, one will be a Projected Sum clue, and the other must be a X-Sum clue. Which is which will still need to be determined by the solver.

In the rules, first line of last para "region sums" means "projected sums" i suppose ?
