Normal Sudoku rules apply

Grey lines connect digits of the same parity (Odd or Even), they can not be extended (A digit after a line will have different parity). Note: there are 2 lines ending in R3C6, that's not one line which bends.

For every digit X in box Y, there is a digit Y in the same position in box X.

Brilliant puzzle. However, the second part proved too much for my abilities, as I kept making silly errors and it has taken me hours to get there. Still, loved it.

~thanks for the kind words steelwool. Somehow my brain is very pleased with disjoint and indexing files, but I certainly know why it can be utterly confusing

You said: "they can not be extended"
But which direction?

~ any direction!

Then I cannot see how this works. The lines in box 1 and 6 are connectet via another line. That means they have to have the same parity. But in this case you could extend the lineend in r5c6 into r4c7. So waht do I miss?

-Ah, with any direction I meant any diagonal direction the line is going in. Sorry for the confusion. R5C5-R7C7 has a certain parity, so R4C4 and R8C8 have different parity

I've put this puzzle online as a 2 star, but to some it might be more of a 3.
