X-Sums: A number outside the grid gives the sum of the first N digits from that direction where N is the first of those digits.
The number X has to be determined by the solver.

@Atomium, X shows the sum of the first N digits along the corresponding row/column. N is always the very first digit seen in that direction. If the sum in r0c4 (the clue above r1c4) was 20 and r1c4 happened to be 4, the first four cells in the direction of the clue (r1-4c4) would sum to 20, including the digit N, which in this case is 4. Additionally, all of the x-sum clues in this puzzle are the same sum. Hope this helps!

I don't quite understand the X-sums condition. Suppose X is 1, then that is the sum of the first 1 digits starting from the first occurrence of a 1 in the row or column?
If X is not 1, then N and X must differ? Is N the same for all X's in the puzzle?
