(Published on 22. May 2022, 10:39 by Jesper)

Rules

Divide the grid into regions, each consisting of nine orthogonally connected cells. Each row, column and region must contain the digits 1 to 9 once each.

Shade some cells, so these conditions are all fulfilled:
- All shaded cells are connected
- All unshaded cells are connected
- No 2x2 area is fully shaded or fully unshaded
- Each region is either fully shaded or fully unshaded

The digit in a cell with one or more arrows is equal to the total number of shaded cells that appear in the indicated directions combined.

Not all possible arrows/arrow combinations are given.

Example (6x6):

Penpa+: Example (6x6)

The puzzle follows:

All I can really do is echo the sentiments of the other solvers: this was an absolutely fantastic puzzle, and one of my favorite ones I've solved in a while!

Magnificent! Thank you

After 2 evenings I've finally cracked it, I'm not sure if I've ever felt more proud to finish a puzzle. Brilliant and grueling, I also loved how smooth the irregular solve went after all the heavy lifting of the Chaos Construction and Ying Yang.

What a masterpiece!

This puzzle is incredibly good! I haven't got a clue how you were able to create that, let alone with such precision. And surprisingly, it wasn't as hard as I anticipated. Really great setting.

Very elegant logic!

This only took me an hour and 58 minutes. I'd say it's approachable...(!)

Outstanding ! A real treat from start to finish! It really helped that I have done other Yin Yang puzzles before, otherwiseit would have been a genuine nightmare. Loved the subtle break-in, and the way it all resolved in the end, even after almost all the clues had dried up... Thanks a lot !

Good grief this one took me 3+ hours because of silly mistakes. Definitely one of the best & hardest puzzle that I ever solved.

5 hours!!!

Very inpressive puzzle! It was always challenging but every deduction was fair. I loved the logic from start to end.

Challenging, but "only" 4 stars difficulty for me - after the very tricky start, the puzzle does gets easier as it progresses.

Wow, what a puzzle! An amazing ruleset which works so nicely together! And very challenging all the way! I am definitely going to look at your other puzzles as well, Jesper. Thanks for setting this gem!

I think the example puzzle is more difficult than the official puzzle

EDIT @laky: Well, the example puzzle has a very specific break-in. If you spot it, I think it should be a relatively quick and smooth solve. But if you don't spot it, there will not be a reasonable logical path to solve the puzzle. Regards, Jesper

Absolutely wonderful puzzle. Consistently challenging with very beautiful deductions on the way. I especially loved the final part, the part after almost all the arrow clues were used. Also, the 6x6 example is itself a very beautiful puzzle.

I was so excited when I saw another C.C puzzle from you but my goodness, that's one of the hardest puzzles I've solved from you.
Consistently challenging, yet absolutely beautiful throughout the solve: from the lovely break-in to the regions configuration at the end, everything works so well together. My heart nearly skipped a beat when I found the final breakthrough as well xD
