Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Clues outside the grid are both numbered rooms and sandwich clues.
Sandwich: The clue gives the sum of all digits positioned between 1 and 9 in the given row or column.
Numbered rooms: The clue indicates that the given digit is in the Xth position in the row/column seen from that standpoint, where X is the first seen digit.
Note: the NR logic and the sandwich logic are tightly intertwined; it shouldn't be necessary to undertake deep bifurcation.
