Magic Crackers

(Published on 7. May 2022, 16:29 by steelwool)

Mark and Simon are my champions, they are the Magic Crackers who piqued my curiosity about Sudoku, about solving complex hybrid puzzles, and in particular the idea of setting puzzles. Here is my homage to Cracking the Cryptic. It continues to be my go-to site for stimulating and thought provoking puzzles.

Normal Sudoku rules apply.
MARK and SIMON are German Whisperers* (no surprise there). The different letters in their names are different digits.
The ctc is, clearly, a palindrome.
Black dots connect one cell twice that of the other.

This is an anti-knight puzzle, two cells a knight's move away cannot contain the same digit.

The magic? There is a 3x3 magic square on the board in one of the squares.

* The adjacent cells differ by at least 5

Solve the puzzle online at F-Puzzles.

Solution code: Enter digits from Row 8 and Column 3

Please try your puzzle on f-puzzles yourself.
I cannot recognize the little help-digits in the cells. You?
-- Hi, yes I set using F-puzzles. You can use the digits around the edge of the letters (which should be enough for this puzzle)
