Battle With The Archers 31: When Allies Collide
(Published on 29. April 2022, 22:59 by Playmaker6174)
This is the 31st puzzle of my
Battle With The Archers collection, the series that I try to make arrow variant look as joyful to solve as possible. :)
In this one, I wanted to look at a combo of two very similar variants: arrow and region sum line. It didn't take so long to come up with a nice looking puzzle that also has a nice solve path, and I think the final result was quite a blast too. Difficulty should lie anywhere between 3/5 and 4/5, I hope you enjoy!
Rules:
- Normal Sudoku rules apply: every row, column and 3x3 box contains digits from 1 to 9 each once.
- Digits along an arrow must sum to the digit in the circle cell attached to that arrow. Digits along an arrow can repeat if allowed by other rules.
- For each blue line in the grid, digits on the line have an equal sum N within each box it passes through.

Very nice puzzle, I like how you need to use almost all the constraints for the break-in. The solve was indeed joyful :)
