Normal sudoku rules apply.

Place some killer cages into the grid. Each killer cage is orthogonally connected, killer cages do not touch each other, even diagonally, and digits do not repeat within killer cages.

Each killer cage has at least three cells and the cells not in killer cages are a single orthogonally connected set.

Clues outside the grid give the total of digits within that row or column that are in killer cages.

Each circle contains the total (out of 8) of the number of corners and number of edges of that cell that are part of a killer cage boundary.

[As this is potentially confusing, I have included an example of a completed grid. In the example, the r3c6 circle contains a 6 = 2 edges + 4 corners. The circle at r4c2 contains a 4 = 1 edge + 3 corners.]

[This puzzle was inspired by Phistomefel's excellent Chaos Construction With Slitherlink Clues -> https://logic-masters.de/Raetselportal/Raetsel/zeigen.php?id=0004CJ . The link also contains more examples.]

Wonderful puzzle.

The hardest part was reading and understanding the rules. :)

Then surprisingly the beginning wasn't difficult at all, it was more like a good tutorial on how this ruleset works, and get your feet wet.

Then it got very interesting towards the middle, and until the end, with good payoff moments.

I always enjoy your puzzles, because of the creativity involved in them, and this is one of the best of them.

Thank you!

Great puzzle! I got very close to a full grid when I realised I had broken the puzzle and couldn't find my mistake, so I restarted - the logic was just as fun the second time round! (turns out my mistake was quite close to the end so most of the work from the beginning was fine)

Another cracker from zetamath. Took me a moment to get my head around the rules, but the journey thereafter was riveting.

Very nice ! I hit a wall a few days ago because i did not concentrate enough on what was happening around Box 1. Now i finished it today and it was a lot of fun ! Thanks for another great one !

A killer that felt a bit like solving a chaos construction. Nice. Thanks.

Fantastic puzzle with a very interesting concept! Although the solve was quite consistently challenging, every deduction felt really rewarding :)

Great puzzle! I liked how the constraints played together. This is an interesting ruleset for chaos constructions.

This was wonderful, at least once I fully read the rules :-)

Very well executed idea. Solve was not crazy hard, but a good challenge. Highly recommended!

This puzzle is great! Definitely one of my favorites from you, and that's saying a lot. The mid-solve for me, at least, was deceptively difficult though.
