Domino Drift

(Published on 28. March 2022, 02:39 by Mad-Tyas)

A 2nd puzzle with the recently invented Drifting Cage rule.

Rules:

Sudoku: Fill every row, column and 3x3 box with the digits 1-9.

Drifting Cages: Digits in cages must not repeat and have to add up to the total given in the top-left corner of the cage (standard killer).
In addition there is a second state of this puzzle in which all cages have drifted one cell in one orthogonal direction. The solution to the puzzle must satisfy the killer rule for both the initial arrangement and the arrangement after drifting. The solver needs to determine for each cage in which direction it drifts. Two cages must not drift to the same cell.

Have fun solving!
