Norinori Castle Wall

(Published on 11. March 2022, 17:30 by SudokuExplorer)

Example puzzle: Penpa+

Rules:
Shade exactly two cells in each region.
Each shaded area forms a domino, not necessarily within a region.

Draw a single continuous loop, not passing through any shaded cells.
The two shaded cells in a region either both lie inside the loop or both lie outside the loop.

If a region has a numerical clue with a direction, for each shaded cell in that region count the number of loop segments in the direction of the arrow from the shaded cell. The numerical clue is the sum of the two castle wall totals.

Note: For an extra challenge, you can solve the puzzle without the 6-down clue in R1C1.

You can try the below main puzzle in Penpa+. Enjoy!

Solution code: For the 2nd and 9th rows: if a cell is shaded enter S, if it is empty enter O, if it contains a straight line segment enter I, and if it contains a corner line segment enter L.
