Fill every row and column with the digits 1-9 once each. Cells that share an edge cannot contain consecutive digits.

Construct nine regions that each contain all digits 1-9. Regions must be orthogonally connected one-cell-wide paths that do not branch or loop back on themselves. A circled digit is the total number of its region's cells that appear in the same row, including itself. All possible circles are given. Numbers outside the grid give the total number of different regions appearing in the row or column.

Just wow!
The nine regions are constructed quite quickly.
But the irregular Sudoku has it all.
Observing the two special rules, orthogonal fields non-consecutive and all circles are given.
The many small logical steps build up tension.
And when all the dominoes are in place, they fall one after the other in a wonderful chain.
Only to end up beautifully resolving a deadly pattern.
