- Every digit from 1 to 9 appears once in every row, column, and region. Regions are to be determined. Every region is a set of 9 orthogonally connected cells, with no 2x2 sections included.
- Normal Heyawake Rules Apply. (See below.)
- The Heyawake's unshaded area doesn't loop, and doesn't include any 2x2 unshaded area.
- Heyawake shaded cells only contain digits 1-3. Not all digits 1-3 are shaded.
- Cells across white dots are found in separate regions, and contain consecutive digits from 4-9 only. All dots following both these rules are given.
Heyawake Rules:
-- Regions contain shaded cells matching the circled number. All circles are given.
-- 2 shaded cells are never orthogonally adjacent.
-- A straight (orthogonal) line of connected unshaded cells does not span across more than 1 region border.
-- All unshaded cells are connected in a single group.
Cracking The Cryptic (recommended, now with answer check!)
Penpa+ (with answer check)
F-Puzzles (not recommended)
It's effectively 3 puzzles in one! Heyawake shading, followed by region construction, followed by Sudoku. I made an example puzzle to demonstrate the rules, but if anything, it may be even harder than the main puzzle itself, but the logic does overlap more through the solve:
Cracking The Cryptic (with answer check)
Penpa+ (with answer check)
I think this is my proudest puzzle to date, so I really hope people enjoy playing this hybrid Heyawake Chaos Construction Sudoku! 😄 Any feedback and comments welcome!
Solution code: Rows 8 & 9 (left to right) (18 digits)

Im so sorry that I made you to double-check on your puzzle, this is clearly an error on my part. Just checked this morning when I realized that I misinput on few last digits. Fixing those make the answer check works properly. Sorry Again!

Not sure what went wrong, but I just double-checked and the answer checking seems to be working for me! Thanks for playing nevertheless. :)

Answer checking on ctc software doesnt work properly though your puzzle is quite nice (like all of your chaos construction type puzzles)

Updated the rules based on feedback, and added answer check to CTC!

I've spent 2 days on this puzzle only to now figure out that numbers CAN be consecutive without the white dot, but ONLY in the same region. I understood the rules as numbers can be consecutive only on white dots.
I know the example does show this, but a rules clarification may be in order.
EDIT: Damn this was crazy. Awesome puzzle!

Cool construction. Ending at regions part was tough.

That was so, so difficult haha. Might have been easier if I was more comfortable with heyawake as a puzzle type...... but either way, an incredible construction.

Fantastic! Smooth and fun logical path throughout, which is really difficult to set with such a long multi-layered puzzle. Well done!
Check out my puzzle "Chaos Construction: Snake" as well if you like :). It has totally different mechanics but is also a long multi-layered chaos construction.
