Chaotic Arrows

(Published on 28. January 2022, 21:20 by mathpesto)

I got such positive feedback on my previous puzzle ("Kropki Chaos") that I decided to do another chaos construction sudoku. This one is a bit harder! If you're feeling stuck, check out the walkthrough of the solution below. Comments and ratings are much appreciated, and please be sure to check out my other puzzles here.

Rules:

Each row, column, and region must contain the digits 1–9 exactly once. Regions must be determined.

A digit in a gray square must be even. A digit in a gray circle must be odd.

Digits along an arrow must sum to the digit in the corresponding circle.

Digits along an arrow are part of the same region, and the digit in the corresponding circle is in a separate region.

Loved that you need to do sequential solving phases between creating regions and arranging the digits in them. The last sequence almost flows like a classic sudoku !
