Inspired by the Entropy rule-set of Mad-Tyas, JeremyDover and I have put together a series of puzzles which utilize this concept in a one-dimensional fashion, which we call Entropic Lines. This first puzzle provides a gentle introduction.
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Entropic Lines: Any set of three sequential cells along an entropic line must contain a low digit (1-3), middle digit (4-6) and high digit (7-9). Digits may repeat on a line, if allowed by other rules.
This is the first puzzle of the entropic lines introductory series.
next puzzle (#2)
Solution code: Row 5 (from left) and column 2 (from top - 18 digits in total):

Tricky, unless you know the break in, then it unwinds beautifully!

Thanks everyone to have given this new contstraint a try - and to all the nice feedback! We did not expect to get as many solves for those puzzles. (JeremyDover & Raumplaner)
