Normal sudoku rules apply. Along a thermometer, digits must increase from the bulb end. One cell in the grid is the nadir. Cells must increase in value as they move away from the nadir in every straight-line direction (i.e. vertically, horizontally, and diagonally) until they reach the edge of the grid.
Enjoy!
Solution code: Rows 2 and 6

I was able to find the nadir, but then my sudoku logic failed me. So I assumed the nadir was correct and tried my hand at the sudoku which ended up being very nice. thanks for the puzzle.

what an original puzzle! I couldn't help but use trial and error to eliminate some of the trickier options for the nadir but it never felt like 'cheating'
***Thanks aruvi, no problem with a bit of trial and error here or there! - Barrels

Got it finally. I did something wrong at first try. But the construction is so beautiful that made me to insist.

Very nice elegant puzzle. I love the fact that its an almost empty grid and a very small ruleset. Thanks!
***Those are exactly the kinds of puzzles I like to make. I have a couple more on here like that (albeit with completely different rules to this), so feel free to check them out. Thanks for commenting! - Barrels
