Another Kind of Entropy
(Published on 5. January 2022, 10:22 by BellBear)
This puzzle is inspired by the entropy puzzles of
Mad-Tyas .
Rules:
- Sudoku: place every digit from 1 to 9 once in each row, column and 3x3 box in the grid.
- Killer: Digits within cages do not repeat. A cage's total is given in the top left corner.
- Odd cells: cages with a grey circle contain odd digits.
- Modified entropy rule:
Digits that have a multiple of 3 as difference belong to the same group. So there are three groups: {1,4,7}, {2,5,8} and {3,6,9} (residues modulo 3).
In every 2x2 square of the grid there is at least one digit of each group.

Indeed a quite different kind of entropy. The break-in was fun. Nice puzzle. :)

What a wonderful construction! A masterclass in residue classes. Thx:)

Very nice different kind of entropy! I'm glad my idea inspired you to create this. Thank you for the puzzle.
