The Miracle of Entropy

(Published on 28. December 2021, 10:53 by SimiC)

Big thank you to Mad_Tyas for allowing me to use his new constraint and testing

Rules:

  • Sudoku: place every digit from 1 to 9 once in every row, column and box
  • Entropy: Consider the low digits (1, 2, 3), middle digits (4, 5, 6) and high digits (7, 8, 9) as three different groups. Each 2x2 box in the grid has to contain at least one digit of each group
  • Antiknight: Cells a chess' knight's move apart can't contain the same digit
  • Antiking: Cells a chess' king's move apart can't contain the same digit
  • Dots: Cells connected by a white dot must contain consecutive digits (no negative constraint)

Play on F-puzzles or CTC App

Have fun!

Solution code: Row 1, then row 9 (no spaces)

A very nice puzzle with great and not too difficult use of the Entropy constraint. The remarkable combination with two additional global constraints leads to a smooth and satisfying solve.

- Thank you once again!
