World of Weird Wonders - A 7x7 Irregular Sudoku Pack

(Published on 18. December 2021, 10:35 by Playmaker6174)

The following series of puzzles is a 7x7 irregular Sudoku pack including 7 weird and interesting puzzles with some surprises hidden in it, and as I said before, this is a sequel of my previous 6x6 Pack.

Hope you enjoy and happy holidays as well! :)

Rules: Normal irregular 7x7 Sudoku rules apply: every row, column and bold region contains digits from 1 to 7 each once.

Normal variant rules apply, including: 147, quadruple, thermometer, kropki (difference/ratio), arrow, German whisper, little killer, sandwich sum and more.
As the pack goes on, the difficulty also tends to increase and again, this criteria may be different by everyone's opinions. The overall difficulty of entire pack is judged by the average of all 7 of them.

1) 17 Quad: Digits in a circle must appear at least once in one of the four cells surrounding it.
A digit in column 1 indicates the column in which the digit 1 will appear in that row (e.g. if R3C1 is a 4 then R3C4 is a 1); the same applies for column 7.

2) Thermometer : Digits along a thermometer must strictly increase from the bulb to the tip end.

3) Kropki - difference/ratio: A white dot with a number in it implies the difference between two cells. A black dot with a number in it implies the ratio relationship between two cells.

4) Arrow: Digits along an arrow must sum to the digit in the circle cells. Digits can repeat if allowed by other rules.
In addition: digit in the circle cell must repeat at least once in the cells on the indicated direction of that arrow tip, not including the tip (so for example, R7C7 must be equal to at least one of R2C1, R3C2, R4C3, R5C4).

5) German whisper: adjacent digit along a green line must have difference of at least 4 (digits can repeat in such line if allowed by other rules). The inequality sign means R2C2 is greater than R3C2.

6) Little Killer x Sandwich: Clues outside the grid show the sum of the digits along the indicated diagonal, digits can repeat along these diagonals if allowed by other rules (little killer).
These clues also show the sum of the digits between the 1 and 7 in the corresponding column or row (sandwich sum).

7) Extreme Parity Confetti: Digits along a gray line must have the SAME parity, i.e. they must be all odds or all evens, and they also form a set of non-repeating consecutive digits in terms of their respective parity in any order (Parity Confetti line).
For the purple line, digits must be consecutive but have different parity (act like normal 2 cells renban).
Digit in R6C2 is greater than all orthogonally adjacent cells. Digit in the gray circle is odd (R7C1).

Puzzle:

F-puzzle: 17 Quad - Thermo - Kropki - Arrow - German Whisper - Little Killer x Sandwich - Extreme Parity

CTC link: 17 Quad - Thermo - Kropki - Arrow - German Whisper - Little Killer x Sandwich - Extreme Parity

Penpa+ (thanks to Vebby): 17 Quad - Thermo - Kropki - Arrow - German Whisper - Little Killer x Sandwich - Extreme Parity

Good luck and have fun solving!

Solution code: Four corners of the entire grid (R1C1-R1C7-R7C1-R7C7) from each of the puzzle in the order in the rule set with capital letter I separating, so for example the code may be: 1234I1234I1234I... (28 digits total with 6 I's separating)

Excellent set of puzzles, really cool logic throughout. (Even if I didn't fully read the rules on puzzle 4 at first...)

Absolutely lovely little series, thank you for these! :^) Each one had their own cool moments, but I especially enjoyed the Thermo, Little Killer (this variant combo definitely has some potential - I'd love to see more of them) and Extreme Parity Confetti! Absolutely recommend having a crack at this :^)

Wonderful collection! Thanks Playmaker! :)

PS: Future solvers, make sure to read the arrow and german whisper rules carefully, they are variants of the variants, lol.
