Heated Entropy

Contrary to my original assessment, this puzzle is perceived as more difficult than my first two entropy sudokus ( Entropy Sudoku , Entropy Killer ). But I can assure you that there is a solution path with clean, logical steps that will hopefully be varied and satisfying at the same time. For hints, please leave a hidden comment or contact me on the CTC Discord server.
Rules:
Sudoku: Fill every row, column and 3x3 box with the digits 1-9.
Thermometer: Digits along a thermometer have to strictly increase from the bulb to the tip.
Entropy: The low digits (1, 2, 3), middle digits (4, 5, 6) and high digits (7, 8, 9) are defined as three different groups. In the finished grid each 2x2 box has to contain at least one digit of each group.
Odd: The two cells in R1C6 and R1C8 marked with a grey circle have to contain odd digits. Have fun solving!
Solution code: Row 9 followed by column 8 (18 digits)

Great puzzle! I was looking for a special one to make it my 2000th solve and your entropy puzzles have always been among my absolute favourites. Thankfully there are still quite a few for me to try. Thank you

Revisiting the series after thoroughly enjoying fireworks for 50. Even with all the experience I still found this one to be very difficult. Definitely 5/5 for me

What a monstrously difficult puzzle, but so very enjoyable. Kept coming back to a half-done grid and finally managed to get thru. Kudos, @ Mad-Tyas, and thanks :-) Looking forward to some more of these.

This is definitely harder than your last 2 puzzles. I loved the triangle in the middle part.

I agree with SKORP17. My experience on the previous two puzzles helped me to get the break-in pretty quickly, but then I am stuck at some point and I cannot find a clean way of solving the puzzle.
