Three in the Corner

(Published on 11. December 2021, 20:50 by ExFalsoQuodlibet)

Normal sudoku rules apply. In addition:

  • Green Cells: If a cell in box N is green, then the digit in that cell is the number of boxes in the completed grid which have N in the same position as that green cell. For instance, if R1C9 is green and contains a 1, then there is exactly 1 box which has 3 in the upper right-hand corner (because R1C9 is in the upper right-hand corner of box 3). There is no negative constraint; not all possible green cells are necessarily given.
  • XV Adjacent cells connected with an X must sum to 10. Adjacent cells connected with a V must sum to 5. There is no negative constraint. Not all possible Xs and Vs are necessarily given.
