Nori Nori Killer Sudoku
(Published on 29. November 2021, 02:22 by MavericksJD)
I was introduced to NoriNori genre because of the
Nori Nori Killer Sudoku by Sudoku Explorer.
and I quite enjoyed it.
So I wanted to explore and make a Nori Nori Killer Sudoku myself.
Thanks to the help and guidance from
SudokuExplorer, I was able to create this one.
Standard killer rules apply.
Digits cannot repeat in cages, and sum to the number in the upper-left corner of the cage.
Cages are subject to a
Norinori colouring, as follows:
Shade exactly two cells in each cage.
Each shaded cell is orthogonally adjacent to exactly one other shaded cell.
Moreover each shaded cell is an
odd number.
See
Nikoli link for an example.
You can try this on
Penpa+ or
F-Puzzles. Enjoy!
>
Solution code: The Shaded cells in Row 3 and Row 7 (left to right).
The Unshaded cells in Column 4 and Column 6 (top to bottom)

Sudoku and Norinori make a fun combination. :)

Both parts of the solve are very tight and satisfying. Thank you!

Very nice puzzle! Cool interactions between killer cages and Norinori logic.

This is a great puzzle! I really like how the cage shapes provided both interesting Norinori logic as well as fun killer logic. Thanks for coming up with this grid and letting me test the earlier version. :-)
