Prime Lines

(Published on 27. November 2021, 17:59 by Klausku)

I came up with the idea of lines that can only take prime numbers. Combining this with kropki rules led to some nice logic, I think. Hope you like it. I would appreciate if you leave a comment. Thanks.

Rules:

  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
Every row, column, and 3x3 box must contain all digits from 1 to 9.
  • Digits on yellow lines must be prime numbers.
  • Kropki rules apply:
A black dot separates two digits with a 1:2 ratio. A white dot separates two digits with a difference of 1. Not all dots are given.

Of course 1 is not prime, that is basic algebra.... 2 3 5 7 are the only 1-digit primes known

Unusually sneaky throughout. Did not crack open but kept going with nice logic. FYI for solvers as I didn't know this until very recently: 1 is not considered a prime number. I think I would have found it much harder without that knowledge!
