339 Prime-Co

(Published on 20. November 2021, 06:00 by XeonRisq)

  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • Prime-Co Blocks: Cages are to contain one Prime digit and one Composite (non-Prime) digit. The digit "1" is excluded from both the Prime and Composite set of digits and will be left out of all cages.
  • The numbers in the top left corner of the cage will be the difference of the two digits in the cage, if given.
  • Indexing: Digits in column 3 indicate the column in which the digit 3 appears in that row (e.g. if r4c3 is a 6, r4c6 is a 3).
  • Digits in row 3 indicate the row in which the digit 3 appears in that column (e.g. if r3c5 is a 6, r6c5 is a 3).
  • Digits in box 9 indicate the box in which the digit 9 appears in that box and box location (e.g. if r7c7 is a 4, r4c1 is a 9).

Very fun puzzle! Lots of smooth logic building up to a final challenging deduction to finish it off.

Thanks for the solve/feedback and taking the time to give the puzzle a try. That is a great recap of how the solve path goes.. and I rather like that final hurdle, was a nice little rewarding nugget at the end!

Very smooth, not too hard and the 2 constraints indeed work rather well together. I had quite some fun with solving it, thanks! :)

Nice puzzle! I liked how the different rules played off of each other :-)

Thanks for the solve and the nice comment. I also found that this prime/composite block concept worked mysteriously well with the 159 constraint, it was quite the pleasant surprise!!
