This is a demonstration puzzle to introduce the Broken 159 variant to the community. It is not intended to be difficult but is intended to teach the logic inherent in this new constraint.
Normal Sudoku and some 159 rules apply.
Broken 159- Shaded red cells in column 1 indicates the position of 1 in the same row. The same is true of columns 5 and 9, regarding the digits 5 and 9, respectively. These rules apply ONLY to shaded red cells in those columns. (i.e. negative constraint - unshaded cells cannot index 1,5 or 9 from those respective columns)
Solution code: Row 7 followed by Column 1 left to right, top to bottom, No spaces

I really like it, I struggled a bit because I forgot about the negative constraint, but when I figure it out it had a wondefoul resolution
--Thank You for the kind words. Very Glad you enjoyed

I am a fan of normal 159 puzzles but didn't notice the negative constraint at first because i've never seen it before.
I absolutely loved the new logic it introduced.

I'm such an idiot, I didn't read about the negative constraint and kept finding multiple solutions. Nice puzzle! I'm a big fan of 159 and its variants
There are quite a few Broken 159 Puzzles in the works.. That Negative Constraint is indeed powerful and the variant allows some bypassing of the zoning that limits regular 159.
