Juosan Parity Parade

(Published on 9. November 2021, 13:31 by kolot)

After the Juosan Killer Sudoku by udukos and the Juosan Arrow Sudoku by abed hawila, I wanted to combine the Juosan rule with another variant and used the Parity Party variant where sums cannot consist of only one digit (you can see Parity Parade Sudoku by richard for this variant). It seems like Juosan and Parity Party form a good combination. I hope you enjoy the puzzle. Your comments and ratings are highly appreciated as usual!

RULES: (1) Normal sudoku rules apply.

(2) Clues outside the grid are parity party clues where sums cannot consist of only one digit, i.e. the clues indicate the sum of two or more digits from that side such that the parity (even/odd) of the furthest digit from the border that is part of the sum is different than the parity of all digits before it.

(3) Juosan rules apply. Odd digits(1, 3, 5, 7, 9) can appear consecutively for more than two cells vertically, but not more than two cells horizontally. Even digits(2, 4, 6, 8) can appear consecutively for more than two cells horizontally, but not more than two cells vertically.

Sehr schön konstruiert. Den Einstieg muss man aber erstmal finden. Zummindest sollte klar sein, wo man danach suchen sollte.

The break-in made me scratch my head quite a bit, but after that it was a wonderful journey!

Great construction! Tough break-in but got smoother afterwards. I agree with 4/5 difficulty.

A parity party with only (middling) odd clues - that's almost sadistic. ;)

The entry was indeed quite hard to find, but in the end just 3½ stars difficulty for me.

Henrypijames, thank you for solving the puzzle and for your comment. I purposely did not use any even clue or any very low or very high clue so that the Juosan constraint has to be used in the break-in, and I think it worked out nicely. :-)
