Off-Roading (Quad 159)
(Published on 3. November 2021, 14:22 by tallcat)
Had set a few tougher puzzles in a row and wanted to set something comparatively lighter to give my brain a rest. Had not come across this combination before so decided I would give it a whirl. Happy solving!
Normal Sudoku rules apply
Quadruples: Digits in white circles must be present somewhere in the cells the clue touches.
159: Digits in column 1 indicate the column in which the digit 1 appears in that row (e.g. if r4c1 is a 6, r4c6 is a 1). The same applies to columns 5 and 9, with the digits 5 and 9 respectively.
Can be played online at
f-puzzles or
CTC
Solution code: Row 2 (left to right) followed by column 3 (top to bottom). 18 digits, no spaces.

I usually struggle with 159 puzzles, but I really enjoyed the way that the quads worked to help guide deductions from the 159 restriction.
