Multiplydown

(Published on 4. November 2021, 02:54 by thetearex15)

Rules:

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Digits in a circle must appear at least once in the surrounding four cells.

Additionally, when you multiply one (or more) of the pairs of diagonally connected cells surrounding the circle, you get the number contained in the circle.

For example, a 12 clue in a circle could have the digits 1,2,3,and 4 in the surrounding 4 cells, with 3 and 4 diagonal from each other.

Really cool ruleset! The puzzle introduced the concept in an approachable and fun manner. I would say it is a 2 not a 3 difficulty-wise. The fact that the multiplication had to be on a diagonal did trip me up a couple times, but I solved it twice and the second solve went really smoothly and quickly. I would love to see more of this! :)
