Killocator

(Published on 27. October 2021, 10:15 by starwarigami)

Normal Sudoku rules apply, along with the following additional constraints:
  • Digits may not repeat in a cage
  • Digits in a cage sum to a 2-digit number xy, which may be different for each cage.
  • The digit at row x column y must equal n, where n is the size of the cage.
  • e.g. if a 5-cage sums to 28 that means that R2C8 is a 5

Finally finished it! Super hard throughout but very cool that it all works in the end. Great variant!

Lovley puzzle with an exciting deduction path. Not too hard, but a lot of fun. :D

I liked this a lot -- the deductions of the killer cages and the locator rules work well together -- I'll have to try some of the others in the series now!

Wow! Brilliant logic, just impressive how you could make it work. Good job!

Fantastic puzzle! Very hard break-in, at least in a psychological sense. Some astonishing logics, especially box 6. Thx for sharing:)

Excellent puzzle! Great idea and great execution. Including the break-in, there were a few aha moments throughout the solution path. I loved this puzzle. It is not very easy but not extremely hard either. It is highly recommended!
