#sudoku

(Published on 26. October 2021, 21:08 by matt383)

Normal sudoku rules apply.
Normal killer rules apply. (The sum of numbers in each cage is equal to the number in the upper left corner of the cage.)
Normal arrow rules apply. (The sum of the digits along the path of each arrow must equal the digit in the circled cell, numbers might repeat on an arrow.)

Coloring is for decoration only... or is it?

Had to break out an Excel sheet for this one... Very nice after the break-in! :)

Lovely puzzle, from the beautiful start to the fascinating interactions between the arrows and cages (it's also pretty tricky but coloring did help a bit here). Thank you for the puzzle! :)

Beautiful Puzzle matt383. It took me a while to get the break-in to a point that was useful to solve the puzzle, but once I did, I was able to solve the puzzle more smoothly. It still held up after the break-in but I kept going and used the interactions between the arrows and the cages to make progress and after some complex deductions, the puzzle finally solved smoothly again.

Agree with @alpha_bet. This is genuinely brilliant! What a perfect way to use the cages and arrows together. Well done @matt383.
