5x Magic, 5x Nice

(Published on 22. October 2021, 08:52 by Udo Spemyn)

Normal Sudoku Rules apply. Cells separated by a black Kropki dot are in the ratio 1:2. Not all dots are given. Five 3x3 magic squares, where every row, column and diagonal sum to the same number have to be placed into the grid. The magic squares may or may not overlap. In the finished grid, the number '69' (nice), read from left to right or top to bottom, appears 5 times. The numbers may overlap.

Wow. The break in is very difficult, and requires several random attempts. Otherwise, a beautiful puzzle.

Spoiler
@Will Power. Contrary to what you expect, the only way to place 5 magic squares in a sudoku grid is without overlap.

Looks hard, but once the break in is made, it's quite easy.

Spoiler: Placing 5 Magic squares without breaking the puzzle is harder than you think.
