Rising Streaks

(Published on 15. October 2021, 16:05 by e7odie)

Puzzle #16

Rules: Normal sudoku rules apply. Numbers outside the grid indicate the highest number of consecutive cells in that row/column that increase from that direction (consecutive cells, not necessarily consecutive digits). Lines in the grid indicate where those "streaks" occur, unless there's a tie in the row/column in which case the lines aren't given.

Further clarification: in column 4, the orange 3 indicates that the 3-cell orange line is the longest stretch of consecutive cells that increase when going from the top of the grid to the bottom. This means you can treat the orange line itself like a thermo with a bulb at the top (or pink lines as thermos with bulbs to the right, green lines with bulbs on the bottom, and blue lines with bulbs on the left). Where lines are given, the line/thermo couldn't be any longer (e.g., r1c4 can't be less than r2c4 because then the orange line could be one cell longer).
