Anti-Sudoku Wheel

(Published on 20. September 2021, 14:21 by HawkAvatar)

This is an easy sample of my Anti-Sudoku ruleset. You can try a more difficult example at Anti-Sudoku

Normal Sudoku rules do NOT apply.

Each row, column and box has exactly 1 digit repeated twice (equivalently 1 missing digit).

Furthermore, no two rows share a repeat digit nor a missing digit (e.g. if row 1 has 2 2s and 0 9s, then no other row may have more than one 2, and all other rows must have at least one 9). Similarly for columns and boxes.

A web interface for checking a filled anti-sudoku grid is available on github

Solution code: Row 1 followed by missing digits in boxes 1-9

https://sudokupad.app/htu9v1cski Here's a version using a setup by the_cogito, based roughly on my own setup for my 'Doppelganger' puzzles, as they're quite similar in nature
Might be unfair to the previous solvers, I don't know, but something tells me they must have used a similar method anyway to rate this 2/5, and I think this setup is very cool and useful in highlighting the logic behind what I'm sure looks to many as a complete mess lol (as yes, playing this on the old F-puzzles is not a trivial scanning challenge!)
All that said, great puzzle! Surprised I took so long to get to this one when I enjoyed all your other Anti-Sudokus!

Oh, and here's the puzzle by the_cogito, which I greatly recommend!
