Warming Whispers in the Night (Sudoku)

Normal sudoku rules apply. Adjacent digits on a green whispers line must have a difference of five or greater. Digits on a thermometer must strictly increase from the bulb end. Numbers outside the grid indicate the sum of the digits on their indicated diagonal. Digits on these diagonals may repeat when otherwise allowed. As always, comments welcome!
Solution code: First row of puzzle, and fourth column of puzzle (read top to bottom). Enter as a string of 18 digits, no spaces.

Loved the break in!! And the remaining solve was smooth and enjoyable (could be a little harder in my taste though)
Edit: Thanks for giving it a go. Yes - keeping a steady 2-3 star difficulty throughout is a challenge for me - I'm still growing as a setter. :-) But I'm glad you liked the break-in -- I did too! :-)
