The Power of Goodliffing*

Here is a genuinely approachable sudoku (GAS) that I have constructed for Mark Goodliffe to demonstrate the power of goodliffing*. Its difficulty should be between 1 star and 2 stars. I hope you enjoy it. Any feedback is highly appreciated!
RULES: Normal sudoku rules apply. Along thermometers, digits must increase from the bulb end.
*goodliffe (verb): the act of pencil marking all possible candidates in a cell of a sudoku.
Solution code: Row 9 followed by column 7.

Thanks for the comment! I was not sure about selecting 1 star or 2 stars for the difficulty. I will not be surprised if most of the solvers rate its difficulty as 2 stars.
