Difference with the Xth Sudoku
Inspiration for this type comes from Old Miles. He made two extremely nice puzzles of this variant that you can find here. Both puzzles are pretty hard, so I made my version a bit easier as an introduction puzzle.
Solve online in Penpa+ (thx again to Henry!) or F-Puzzles (thanks Krokant!)
Apply classic sudoku rules.
Clues outside the grid indicate the difference between the digit in the first cell from that side (X) and the digit in the Xth cell from that side in the respective row or column.
Solution code: Row 5, followed by column 6.

Fun rule set! It was fun bouncing around the grid looking for the next weak clue.

@Richard: Thanks! I actually deleted my comment shortly after posting it, when I realized exactly what you pointed out. I now solved in the meantime, after two unsuccessful attempts. Wonderful puzzle, one constantly has to watch out not to confuse the meaning of the digits around the border, at least for me. Nice mental gymnastics :)

@Tompat: Your comment is vanished, so I think I have unintended deleted it. There is another option for the first cell in the column you mentioned; the digit in that first cell is not necessarily larger than the Xth digit, it can also be smaller.
Good luck!

Nice. I'll definitely take a look at your inspiration. Maybe this one will help me get started with Old Miles' puzzles. :)
