Cauchy's Revenge

(Published on 21. August 2021, 00:16 by Hrafnsvaengr)

It's nothing terribly out there, but I was pleased with the result for this, so I suppose it will be all right for a first-ever upload to here. Here's hoping it's not as painful as computing complex integrals without Cauchy's theorem that gives this puzzle its name, albeit obliquely.

A link for the puzzle on f-puzzles can be found here.

  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • Digits along an arrow sum to the number in the attached bulb.
  • The digits along the marked diagonals sum to the given number.
  • Digits may not repeat within a cage; if the cage is marked, the digits within that cage sum to the given number.
  • The two unmarked cages are twins, containing the same digits in each cage; the digits in the twinned cages may or may not be in the same order within the cage.

Solution code: The 1st and then 9th columns, top to bottom, without commas or spaces.

@StefanSch You're correct. Technically, neither the 45 cage nor the twin cages are necessary, although they do smooth the solve somewhat.

I think, the twin-cages aren't needed.
