Four Gnomes, Four Quadrants
Once upon a time there were four gnomes who wanted to compile a slitherlink puzzle together. They just couldn't seem to agree on a variation, however. One wanted a conventional Slitherlink, in which each number indicates how many of the neighboring line segments (edges) were part of the loop. The second preferred a Touch Slitherlink, in which clues indicate the number of times that the loop touches the clued cell. The third gnome wanted a combination of these two, where the clues inside the loop were touch clues, and those outside were edge clues. Lastly, the fourth gnome wanted it precisely the other way around: edge clues on the inside, touch clues on the outside.
So they divided the puzzle into four quadrants of 10x10 and each filled their section with clues that met the chosen conditions. In so doing, they also made sure that the shaded (shared) sections would be valid for both of the corresponding variants. The result was the following puzzle diagram:
Solution code: Size of regions outside the loop in clockwise order, beginning in the leftmost cell of the topmost row. X for sizes >= 10.

Hier hat sich mal wieder Hartnäckigkeit ausgezahlt. Und die ersten Schlussfolgerungen waren ja doch richtig. Aber die Kommentare lassen einen viel zu kompliziert denken. (Allerdings war das mit dem Widerspruch eine Hilfe ;-)) Schönes, kniffliges Wichtelgeschenk.

Ein super Wichtel nach meinem Geschmack, auch wenn ich den hartnäckigen Widerspruch erst beim vierten mal auflösen durfte.

Wirklich großartig. Und ja, eine Ehrenrunde musste ich auch drehen ... Aber bei so einem schönen Rätsel ist das ja ein Vergnügen.

Meine Güte, da habe ich mir zu Beginn aber lange selbst im Weg gestanden. Super schönes Rätsel, das kann man nicht weglegen.
