Simple and Straightforward (Straight-Sum Arrows)

(Published on 24. August 2021, 13:00 by manushand)

This puzzle is a very simple introduction to Straight-Sum Arrows.
Hopefully it will help alleviate @SKORP17's confusion. :-)

Standard Sudoku Rules Apply

Straight-Sum Arrows
The digit in an arrow-circle is the sum of the digits in the arrow-path emanating from the circle to its arrowhead. However, the only digits included in the sum are digits in square(s) in which the arrow does not bend (this includes the arrow-tips, of course).

FOR EXAMPLE: The arrow emanating from the circle in R9C6 passes through R8C5 without bending, so the digit in that square is counted into the sum for the arrow. Because the arrow bends in R7C4, the digit in that square is not counted into the sum. Consequently, the only other square whose digit is counted into the sum for the circle is the arrow's tip, R7C3. Consequently,
R9C6=R8C5+R7C3.

each puzzle less interesting compared to the previous one. I'm sure SKORP did understand.

@marcmees: Yes, I am sure he did as well. This one was an intentional effort to truly get to what would be #1 in any series of these puzzles. You are correct that the four of these puzzles are progressively less complex; I created them in the wrong order, not realizing how confusing the concept would be when introduced by the first (non-trivial) one. Thanks again for your comment and interest/encouragement.

Haha, one minute into the puzzle and I was already laughing, that is quite brilliant. Easy puzzle indeed, I was even wondering at some point if there'd even be any need to pencilmark anything, but... yeah, I guess now I'm still a bit wary about a more challenging one hehe
