Combi Block #1: I Trominoes
(Published on 13. August 2021, 15:19 by Aspartagcus)
I thought I'd post a few combi block puzzles that I made a while ago. :)
I tried setting a couple where I tried to only use one shape for the whole grid.
First out is one with as many "I" trominoes as I could fit.
RULES:
Divide the grid in regions such that:
- each region only contains two full blocks (as delimited by the dotted lines).
- no region has a rectangular shape.
- no orthogonally connected regions have the same shape (reflections and rotations included).

Enjoy!

Solution code: The number of shape segments in each row, from top to bottom. If multiple segments of the same shape appear in the same row, each segment is counted on its own.

This was my first time trying this puzzle type, so I really enjoyed working out the logic. It has a nice theme too, thanks :-)
