Very nice.
As always: The first puzzles of a new type are harder than they'd be, if the puzzle type was established. You have to find and work out almost each step (3-4 stars). If you are familiar with the type, you get a feeling for the combinations which are promising. Then it's maybe 2 stars.
But you shouldn't care too much about the stars, it's just to get an idea, how hard it could be.

Without trial & error, but lots of medium-depth look ahead

@Kilonum
Thank you for your feedback. The initial difficulty is set to 3 stars. For different solvers, the difficulty may be judged differently:)

Very nice puzzle. The solving path is fairly straightforward. Not sure why it's 4 stars, it feels more like 3, maybe even 2.
