Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Clues outside the grid give the sum of the digits sandwiched between the 1 and the 9 in the respective row/column.
Additionally, the filling of a sandwich behaves like an X-sum: the first digit inside the sandwich from the side of the clue equals the number of digits inside the sandwich (between the 1 and the 9). A question mark indicates an unknown sum, but the first digit inside the sandwich from the side of the clue still equals the number of digits inside the sandwich.

I particularly liked the logic to determine the first few crusts, thanks! :-)

OH!! Missed that the first time... The location of the clue provides the location of the first digit inside the sandwich filling x-sum! I'm gonna have to give this one another go now....
