Snake in the Grass

(Published on 3. July 2021, 05:16 by Nordy)

To solve this puzzle, you must find the snake's path through a field of arrows.

Rules:

  1. Normal Sudoku Rules apply.
  2. Arrows: Digits along arrows must sum to the number in the corresponding circle.
  3. Snake: Some cells must be shaded to form a single snake that is one cell wide and cannot touch itself orthogonally. The snake must contain only even digits and must visit each box (at least one cell of the snake must appear in each of the nine boxes). The two ends (head and tail) of the snake are marked by grey diamonds in R1C1 and R9C9.

A very hard puzzle, with an elegantly constructed break-in. Thank you.

Didn't expect the remaining sudoku to be so tricky even after the snake is found.

Clean ruleset, beautiful layout, reasonable difficulty - quite suitable for CTC.

-Thank you for the kind words! I took your feedback from my last snake/loop puzzle (Schroedinger's Loop) and applied it to this puzzle. Glad that it yielded positive results.
