Triangle pentominous
(Published on 29. June 2021, 12:39 by Aspartagcus)
Here's another pentominous with a grid of triangles, this time equilateral ones. Interestingly enough, there are only four possible shapes with this grid:
This one should be easier than
the one I put up a week ago.
RULES:
- Tile the grid with triangle pentominoes (a set of 5 triangles that are orthogonally connected) such that no two pentominoes of the same shape share a border.
- All cells which contain a letter are part of the shape which corresponds to that letter, as shown outside the grid.
Below is a smaller example puzzle, which can be played here:
Penpa+
And this is the puzzle:
Enjoy!
Link to solve it online:
Penpa+ (with answer check on green edges or green lines)
Solution code: The letters of the shapes in row 8 from left to right, followed by row 10. (In the example grid, for rows 4 and 5, this would be JYJJIJ.)

Nice and JuICY logic! I found this easier than square pentominous, thanks :-)

it was so nice to just need four colors - one for each shape. :-)

Great puzzle! I've always liked pentominoes but doing it with triangles is definitely a new concept and need a bit of time to wrap my head around it. Overall, it's a very nice puzzle and not too hard on the difficulty scale.

Great, I was going for an average difficulty. Thanks for giving it a go! :)
