It was certainly a mistake to present it with this puzzle first, which is extremely difficult and still unsolved.
So here comes a puzzle that introduces the clue type in a simpler and more approachable way.
What is it about:
It is very simple. In addition to the classic Sudoku rules, a clue in a cell tells the sum of the nine digits in the 3x3 area, the clue cell is the center of.

I played around with this enough to get to the horizontal bands in each box and then stopped because I just didn't want to do the rest of the math; but I enjoyed getting to that point.

thanks for the puzzle, after spending quite some time with the hard one, this one felt almost like a one star difficulty. nice idea and I am already wondering how it will develop further.
