Normal Sudoku rules apply. Digits in cages sum to the number in the cage's corner. Digits may not repeat in cages. Digits on either side of a white dot are sequential. Not all dots are given.
Additionally, there is a pipe that flows through the grid. A correct solve of the puzzle will include the full length of the pipe. Arrows outside the grid indicate where the pipe enters and exits. Digits along the pipe must be of the correct shape to allow liquid to flow. Liquid can flow through a digit in either direction as follows:
1: Top to Bottom
2: Left to Right
3: Top to Left
4: Right to Bottom
5: Left to Right
6: Top to Right
7: Left to Bottom
8: Top to Bottom OR Left to Right (but not both simultaneously; may vary between 8's)
9: Liquid cannot flow through the 9*
The pipe must enter each 3x3 box of the grid at least once. The pipe is also to code, meaning that it may not touch itself along its path, even at a corner. The two given digits are part of the pipe.
*The 9 was an accident at the factory. It is an unfortunate self-contained pipe that cannot connect to any other pipe. When shaken, liquid can be felt inside. It might be water, it might be soup, or it might be something much worse. Regardless, at this point it must be quite stale, and not something you would want mingling with the pristine liquid that flows along 1-8. The 9 hopes to one day join its fellow digits hand-in-hand but for now is resigned to being rather useless.
Solution code: The digits that make up the pipe, from entrance to exit, with no spaces.

me again. trying to solve this nice idea. But one mor question: The pipe is not allowed to touch itself after a u-turn? eg. flow right down left and up again.

WallE, are you referring to the Penpa link? It is showing for me. It’s underneath the f-puzzles link, which is underneath the puzzle image at the top.
