Standard Sudoku rules are in effect, i.e., digits may not repeat in a row, column, or box.
Each cage must be filled with a path of orthogonal steps, which in turn is divided into thermometers of any length >= 1, such that each thermo individually sums to the given total. All thermometers are oriented in the same direction along the path, with each tip followed by the next bulb. Digits may repeat within a cage, but must strictly increase along thermometers.
Some totals are left to be determined by the solver (marked as ???).
See examples of valid and invalid broods here.

The addition of the 12 cage was a nice touch. Fun puzzle that makes you feel like you are running around in circles.
