I had a few busy weeks, but I'm back with a sudoku. Bonus points if you know why it's titled Frankfurt. Enjoy!
Rules
Standard sudoku rules apply.
Clues outside of the grid are skyscraper clues. These indicate the number of digits seen in that row/column, with larger digits blocking the view of smaller digits.
The lines are German Whisper clues. This means that successive digits on the line have a difference of at least 5.
Solve on Penpa
Solution code: Column 5, followed by the clockwise values of the Skyscraper clues, starting top left (9 + 8 = 17 digits total)

It had some fiddly bits, but I'm not complaining. Nice puzzle!

I was born in Frankfurt, so this puzzle was not only a "must do", but also a pleasure. Thanks!
--- Thank you! Hopefully it brought some nostalgia upon you.

Agreed, definitely a very cool rule set. It remained challenging all the way to the end.
--- Thank you. I am glad you liked the challenge!

What a puzzle! A delightful combination of constraints with varied logic, a smooth difficulty gradient, and some tricksy sudoku spots along the way. Easily one of my favourite skyscraper sudokus in recent memory. Thanks Mark :)
--- Thank you Pixel! Great that you had so much fun with it!

Thank you Mark for the puzzle! What a great idea to combine German Whispers and Skyscrapers! Excellent puzzle as well, I especially liked the first half that had so much lovely German Whispers logic. And it is really nice to see a new puzzle from you again!
--- Thank you very much for your kind words! The first part was mostly designed to be a bit of an easier introduction to both rulesets (as they are not that common). In making the rest of the solve harder, German Whispers logic was inevitably less involved I think.

Welcome back! Thanks for the puzzle - very nice concept!
--- Thanks! I am actually quite surprised that I haven't seen this combination before (that doesn't mean it doesn't exist of course)

Love the title - but for those don't understand it: Frankfurt is the only German city with a significant number of skyscrapers.
--- And the bonus points go to you, well done :)

Beautiful logic, not difficult, but I really enjoy the process of reasoning.
--- I am glad you found the solve path enjoyable! Thanks.
